Bach 275 — JS Bach Complete organ works at Bath Abbey

As we celebrate the 275th anniversary of possibly the greatest composer of all time, Johann Sebastian Bach, Huw Williams plays the complete works of Bach on the magnificent Klais organ.

This will be a relatively unique opportunity to hear these famous works presented by one player in one city. This inspiring and wonderful music, in a wide variety of styles from the sunny optimism of the Italian influenced Trio Sonatas and concerti, to the more majestic mature preludes and fugues, will be presented across 16 concerts between November 2024 and September 2025.

As a church musician throughout his career, Bach’s works were based around the liturgy and this series will mostly, where possible, present the music at the most appropriate liturgical season across the year.
