Bristol Cathedral visit before organ rebuild
A chance for members to visit and play Bristol Cathedral organ before the planned extensive rebuild. Hosted by Mark Lee, Master of the choristers and organist. For project details and organ history click here
Format for the evening will be a short talk by Mark Lee about the organ and the plans for the rebuild, then an opportunity for members to play the organ, concluding with Mark playing a short demonstration piece.
You are invited to also attend choral evensong which starts at 5.15pm. The canticles are Sumsion in G and the anthem is Save us, O Lord by Edward Bairstow.
If you are not attending evensong, please try to be at the Cathedral by 6pm and enter through the main door at the back from College Green. This is likely to be locked soon after 6pm. If you arrive after that call Eric on 07973 548571 in order to be let in through the Cloister door which is at the back of the Cathedral through the car park.
