DURSLEY 2025 COFFEE, CAKE & MUSIC

This is the 20th series of Saturday morning organ concerts organised by Nigel Davies.
This month the soloist is Nigel Nash.

Nigel Nash came to Bristol to read Music at the University and conducted Carmen and Die Fledermaus for the University Operatic Society as well as appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He teaches organ and piano at Millfield School in Street, where he plays for the regular school services in Wells Cathedral and Badminton School. He was Director of Music at Westbury-on-Trym Parish Church from 1986 until 1997 and in 1990 he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists. Nigel was appointed accompanist of the Bristol Bach Choir in May 1998 and has played for the choir in many concerts in Bristol, Oxford and Gloucester, and on tour in Paris, Oporto, Prague and Dresden.

Coffee and home-made cake will be served from 10.30am. The music begins at 11.00am and lasts for about 30 – 40 minutes.
There is no charge, but a retiring collection will be taken, the proceeds of which will go to the work of St James’s church.
