Running Choirs and Events Workshop
A practical workshop with speakers, demonstrations and participation on running choirs and organising musical events. Hosts Nick Sherwood and Mark Wilson (Pembroke College, Oxford)
0945 Assemble in St Monica’s Chapel, entrance up the ramp at the side of the chapel.
1000 – 1058 John Davenport – “Putting-on concerts in church”.
1100 National Act of Remembrance – 2 minutes’ silence.
1103 – 1130 Comfort/refreshment break
1130 – 1230 Andrew Kirk – “Recruiting and Retaining an all-age choir”.
1230 – 1330 Break for lunch
1330 Mark Wilson (Pembroke College, Oxford) – “Warm-Ups with a Purpose”, followed by Workshop on Directing and Accompanying, led by Nick and Mark (directing), and Eric (accompanying).
1600 approx – Closing Remarks, finish.
