DURSLEY 2026 COFFEE, CAKE & MUSIC
The 22nd Coffee, Cake and Music organ recitals at St James-the-Great, Dursley (GL11 4JE) continue on Saturday 29th August with a recital by William Reynolds, organist at the Minster Church of St Mary, Swansea.
Coffee and home-made cake will be served from 10.30am. The music begins at 11.00am and lasts for about 30 – 40 minutes.
There is no charge, though a retiring collection will be taken, the proceeds of which will go to the work of St James’s church.
William’s programme has a distinct Welsh flavour: Fantasia on an old Welsh Hymn-tune – Cyril Jenkins; A Welsh Lullaby – Caleb Jarvis; and Meirion Wynn Jones’s Episcopal March. Works by Sweelinck, J S Bach, Kenneth Leighton and Georg Böhm are also included.
