MUSICAL DIRECTOR VACANCY
Thornbury Choral Society (TCS) are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Musical Director and Conductor for September 2026 following the retirement of our current conductor Dr. Steven Kings after 21 years with the choir.
TCS was established in 1963 and is a friendly, non-audition SATB choir with around 75 members. We rehearse on Monday evenings from 8.00-9.30pm and sing music ranging from traditional to modern classical and offer two concerts per year (November and May) and one workshop (end of February) as well as raising money for charity through Christmas music and Workshop.
We hope our new Musical Director will continue to enhance our repertoire and singing ability and inspire us to enthuse our loyal, local audience.

The closing date for applications including a current C.V. by email, is Friday 10th October 2025. We expect to hold interviews including conducting the choir as part of a rehearsal in October/November and appoint soon afterwards.
