BDOA PRESIDENT’S EVENING
This is an exciting opportunity to hear and play the newly restored organ in Bristol Cathedral. We hope that you will be able to attend choral evensong at 5.15pm to hear the organ accompany the choir. The music for evensong will be:
- Responses – Richard Shephard
- Psalms 53 and 54
- Canticles: Hereford Service – Richard Lloyd
- Anthem: Greater love – John Ireland
After Evensong, when the Cathedral has cleared, Mark Lee will give a short talk about the restoration work that has been carried out by Harrison & Harrison. There will then be an opportunity for members to play the organ. Please bring along an appropriate piece to play. I am sure there will be some help with registration available if you need it.
We plan to offer a glass of wine or soft drink during the event so please let me know in advance if you plan to attend.
