Carolyn Craig, Tuesday 13th October
Throughout 2026, Bristol Cathedral is celebrating the return of its historic organ following 18 months of meticulous restoration. Many of this year’s lunchtime recitals form part of the Grand Organ Festival, giving audiences the opportunity to experience the newly restored instrument in all its splendour.
On Tuesday 13th October, the recital will be given by Carolyn Craig. Award-winning American organist Carolyn Craig is Assistant Director of Music at Wells Cathedral. She combines a deep commitment to her liturgical work with passions for concertizing internationally, collaborating with other artists, and striving towards representation and access in concert and church music. She is the co-founder of amplifyfemalecomposers.org and is a contributor to greathostcomposers.org.
The recital is at 1.15pm and lasts around 45 mins. No booking is required, and there is no charge. A live video feed from the console will be projected onto a large screen to allow the audience a close-up view of the performer’s artistry and skill.
