The Elmore Festival, which returns this August in Gloucestershire, is thrilled to welcome prize-winning young organist Timothy Stewart to give an organ recital on 7th August at 1:10 PM in the beautiful setting of St. John the Baptist’s Church, Elmore. The programme will include works by Elgar, Buxtehude, Byrd, Laurin, and Messiaen.
When the Liddiat pipe organ was sadly beyond economic repair a redundant W.G.Vowles instrument was moved from a nearby church to replace it. Martin Renshaw, with the assistance of organ builder Kingsley Robinson, installed the new organ. The final organ includes parts of the Liddiat organ, notably most of the casework, and some of the pipes. For details and pictures please follow this link.
